Following two successful editions, the Bulgarian Identity Conference 2026 turns into tradition. The leading event in Bulgaria and all the Balkans – the conference covers topics, dedicated to Identity Management and its critical role in cybersecurity and regulatory compliance.

This Third edition brings together professionals, decision-makers, and technology providers to explore how digital identity shapes modern organizations—from secure access and risk management to legal frameworks and operational resilience.

Date: 5th of November 2026

Venue: INTERPRED WTC SOFIA

What is Identity Management?

Identity Management (Identity & Access Management) systems are a central and often mandatory aspect of the IT ecosystem of the company. These systems provide users with access to resources and applications, and answer the most important questions in a security incident - who, what and when. Additionally, by modeling the organization's business processes, Identity Management systems increase productivity and are an excellent tool for achieving a high level of cyber security.

Who is this conference for:

Agenda

08:30 – 09:00 | Registration and welcome coffee

Customers’ voice Track

Velizar Varbanov – National Cybersecurity coordinator and Director of the Cybersecurity and protection directorate at Ministry of Innovation and Digital Transformation

The “easy” IAM problems aren’t technology problems. They’re about:
ownership → accountability → processes → organisational boundaries → human behaviour
Technology can provision an account in seconds. Getting somebody to take responsibility for that account can be considerably harder.

Liliya Toncheva, Digital Access, Risks & Control Manager, Coca-Cola HBC

Desislava Bogdanova, VP Identity, Network and Security, ARIS (ex-Software AG)

Vasil Mihaylov, Team Lead, Schwarz Digits

As organizations strive for digital flexibility and sovereignty, the industry is shifting away from monolithic identity platforms to mitigate the risks of vendor lock-in. This session explores the “Composable Identity Fabric“—a modular architecture that seamlessly orchestrates decoupled systems like Google Cloud Identity, CyberArk, and On-Premise AD. Attendees will discover practical blueprints, including a unified “One Key, Two Worlds” hardware token strategy, to build scalable, vendor-agnostic IAM ecosystems suitable for both global enterprises and agile startups.

Ivan Pepelov, CEO & Valentin Hristov, Head of Identity Management, IDVKM

How fast changing digital landscape and legislation is affecting companies, how fast is digital transformation adopted and how fast are companies responding to those drivers.

Moderator: Ivan Pepelov, IDVKM; Participant: Vasil Mihaylov, Schwarz Digits, Liliya Toncheva, Coca-Cola HBC, Desislava Bogdanova, ARIS, Dr. Sven Hübner, KOGIT

11:30 – 11:50 | Coffee break

AI Track (Hall Sofia)

Ivan Pepelov & Valentin Hristov, IDVKM

Best practices for management of AI Identities within the IGA framework

Martin Kuvandzhiev, CEO, encorp.ai

Dr. Sascha Kern, Nexis

AI agents are spreading fast, and best practices are still taking shape. Most organizations can’t say how many agents they run, what those agents can access, or prove it in an audit. Nexis gives you the foundation: Visibility → Governance → Compliance.

Cybersecurity Track (Hall Varna)

Ivan Denchev, Pre-sales Engineer, Versasec

Boris Goncharov, Chief Strategy Officer, Amatas

Every security playbook assumes a human adversary. In this session, the human is obsolete. Watch live as a decentralized, open-weight AI swarm wakes up on stage. No operator. No off switch. No C2 server to burn down. You will see autonomous agents find each other, negotiate tasks, and execute a coordinated attack in real time. When the adversary is a self-healing hive thinking at machine speed, attribution is fiction, detection is a lagging indicator, and takedowns are impossible. Come watch the human era of security end.

Senior Commissioner prof. Ilin Savov, PhD, DSc

Rector of the Academy of the Ministry of Interior

Compliance Track (Hall G1)

Yanko Spassov, Cybersecurity & Compliance Consultant, E-security & Antivirus.bg

Petar Chardakov, Strategic Business Development Manager, Ubiqu

Technical Track (Hall G3)

Florian Slawik, Sales Representative, Nexis

How our platform adds a layer across tools like IGA, PAM, and Access Management to deliver more visibility and intelligence.

Valentin Hristov, Head of Identity Management, IDVKM

Vasil Buhov, Identity Management Consultant, IDVKM & Daniela Ivanova, CEO, Rabbit Solutions

13:10 – 14:10 | Lunch break

The order of table allocation is random and will be given to you at registration.

16:30 – 16:50 | Networking break

Rob Byrne, Field strategist, One Identity

Cloud, AI agents, new regulations, M&A carve-outs, : the business wants speed. But identity teams are stuck with legacy debt, fragmented platforms, poor data quality, and a growing blind spot around ungoverned accounts and non-human identities. So, can we move fast? And should we?
In this closing keynote, we answer YES! Agility and security aren’t incompatible. When identity acts as your digital control plane, aligning security, compliance, risk, and business agility then organizations can accelerate with confidence.

Ivan Pepelov, IDVKM

18:20 | Networking cocktail

Highlights from the Bulgarian Identity Conference 2025

Following its successful debut in 2024, which gathered over 100 participants from Bulgaria and across Europe and featured more than 15 local and international speakers, the 2025 edition expanded with live demonstrations, an industry expo, and strategic insights.

Among the main topics discussed were

🔹 Proven best practices in identity management across large enterprises

🔹 How identity solutions help overcome compliance challenges

🔹 The role of Identity Management in defending against cybersecurity attacks, which now involve digital identities in over 80% of cases

🔹 A strategic perspective on IAM—how to fund, implement, and scale identity solutions within an enterprise.

The event was once again structured into two parallel tracks—business and technical—with a strong focus on the strategic importance of digital identity in modern cybersecurity. More about the highlights of the event – read here.

The strong turnout and positive feedback confirmed the need for a dedicated IAM conference in the region, laying the groundwork for an even bigger and more impactful edition in 2026.
