The third event of the year took place on 28.3.2024 and it was a very special event for 3 reasons:
- It was our first hybrid meeting in form of a webinar, happening both online and on the premises of IDVKM
- It was our first truly international event with a speaker and participants from Germany
- It was our first event with guest speakers – 2 prominent experts in the field – Peter Kirkov and Dr. Sven Hübner
The topic was of particular interest – NIS2 Compliance. The clock is ticking away and October is nearing when local legislation on NIS2 shall be passed. Therefore we felt the strong need to organize a round table on the topic with well-known experts.
Peter Kirkov guided us in the regulatory aspects of the directive, guiding us where international government agencies stand and what could be expected until October.
Sven Hübner introduced an interesting model to compliance that combines both the legal aspects, covered by legal experts and the technical aspects covered by Identity Management Experts
Ivan Pepelov showed how the Identity Management triade (Identity Governance & Administration, Access Management and Privileged Access Management) helps achieve the measures defined in NIS2 as well as the reporting obligations.
After the presentations, we had an interesting Q&A session (online and onsite) where the experts answered some interesting questions. The event ended in the usual way – with pizza, beer and interesting discussions. We were very happy to welcome the guests and speak about such an interesting and important topic.
